Celebrating Nature, Heritage, Local Culture
leading to Sustainability
BIOMES 2.0 – Mesmerising Meghalaya bridges this gap by taking participants into real ecosystems — where learning happens through observation, experience and reflection.
Each camp is carefully curated to explore the unique character of different biomes — in this discourse we take the participants through the forests and cave ecosystems across the Meghalayan Landscape of Cherrapunji and Shillong.
8 batches running across April and May 2026. Limited seats per batch.
Home to the world-famous living root bridges, misty gorges and ancient rainforests. Participants traverse through cloud forests, explore cave systems and witness biodiversity found nowhere else on Earth. The constant mist and dramatic rainfall create an otherworldly learning environment.
The cultural and ecological heart of Meghalaya — where sacred groves have been preserved by Khasi traditions for centuries, urban biodiversity meets ancient forests, and local markets overflow with endemic produce. Connecting with the Khasi community reveals deep environmental wisdom.
Walking through a living root bridge in the mist, knowing it was grown over 500 years — I've never felt so connected to a place. Vanalok made it deeply educational.
My son came back with a nature journal full of observations, pressed leaves and questions I couldn't answer. That's exactly what a summer program should do.
As a teacher, the way Vanalok links field experience to curriculum is exceptional. The cave ecology session alone covered three chapters of environmental science.
8 batches. April to May 2026. Limited seats. Step into Meghalaya's living classroom — where every trail, every cave, every conversation is a lesson.
